Please use the designated areas when practicing. Due to the fact that the teeing area is small please use common courtesies at busy times.

Tee Times

Tee times may be booked through the club’s website, in person or by phone. Members can book 7 days in advance and guests 3 days in advance.

Guest Rules

All members will be responsible for their guests. A person may be a guest at the club only twice per calendar month and it is the responsibility of the member to ensure that this rule is abided to. Guest fees must be paid prior to playing. Out of town guests will be allowed to play more than twice per month provided that the Pro Shop has been informed. Guests will not be allowed on weekends or holidays before 11:00 am unless authorized in advance by the Pro Shop staff.

Golf Etiquette

Our goal at Bridgewater is that 18 holes of golf should be played in 4 hours. In order to achieve the following suggestions are recommended: 1. Play when ready, the honor system is no longer applicable. 2. On the tee, shorter players should hit first when the fairway is clear. 3. Through the green play when you are ready provided it is safe to do so. 4. On the green the player furthest from the hole should putt first and continue putting until he or she has holed out. 5. Always keep up with the group ahead of you. 6. Mark your score on the way to the next tee, not on the green. 7. Keep the 5-minute rule in mind when looking for a lost ball. 8. In the event you are playing slow, allow faster players to play through. 9. Groups stopping after 9 holes to use the halfway house will automatically lose their spot on the 10th tee on busy days.

On the Greens

Do not practice putting on the green after completion of the hole. The golfer nearest the pin should attend the flag. Be ready to hit your putt when it is your turn. Do not flip your ball out of the hole with the putter head as it may cause unnecessary damage to the hole. Repair any ball marks or spike marks on the green after you have completed the hole.

On the Golf Course

Smooth out all footprints and sand shots after you have finished hitting your shot. Replace all divots on the course and be ready to hit your shot when the group ahead is out of range. Do not walk with your pull cart on the apron of the greens or in between the sand trap and the green. Make an effort to place all garbage in the containers.

On the Tees

On all par 3 holes please be sure to use the sand provided to replace any divots you have made or any others that have not been filled in. Do not move tee blocks under any circumstances.

Electric Carts

No one under the age of 15 will be allowed to operate a golf cart. Only 2 persons are allowed in or on a cart at any time. There is an extra charge for a third bag on carts. Please use carts paths as much as possible and follow the cart signs at all times. Always park carts on paths between greens and tees and keep carts at least 30 feet away from greens, tees and bunkers. Drive with both feet in the cart at all times.

Dress Code

No short shorts, cut-off shorts, gym shorts, bare feet or revealing attire is allowed in the Club House, Dining Room or Bar areas. Only soft spike golf shoes are allowed on the course. Juniors may wear tennis shoes. No short shorts, gym shorts, cut-off shorts or tennis shorts are allowed on the course. Bermuda, Jamaica or Pro Shop length shorts only. Jeans will not be allowed unless weather permitting in the early spring or late fall.

Locker Room

The toilet facilities will be available for children using the clubhouse. It is understood that parents of these children are responsible for their behavior.

General

Please do not go into the kitchen. If you would like to speak to the chef we will gladly make the necessary arrangements for you. Do not park in posted areas. “NO PARKING” areas are for everyone’s safety and the beauty of your club. Please be a good member and park in the designated spots. Please sign all of your chits legibly and indicate your membership number. Dinner reservations are suggested and may be made by phone or in person. This will alleviate any waiting and aid in providing better service.

Membership Information

A complete schedule of fees may be obtained from the office. Leave of absence will be considered from club membership for medical reasons or employment transfers and will be given for one year at a time only. Leave of absence must be requested in writing only. Any request granted would be given from the date the request was received in the office. Any member on a leave of absence will be required to maintain a social membership and be allowed to play golf once per month at no charge. All monthly charges are to be paid in full by the 15th of the month following. Any accounts not paid by the due dates may result in your privileges or membership being suspended.

Personal Loss, Damage or Liability

The Club is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property of members, guests or visitors whether by fire, theft or otherwise, occurring on Club property. Personal property includes golf clubs, shoes, money, automobiles, power caddies, etc. The insurance of personal property is the responsibility of the owner through his or her personal insurance coverage.
